November is Prosthodontic month at the lab, so we wanted to feature an implant case for the case of the month. This month we’re featuring a difficult implant case made easy with Nobel Biocare’s Angulated Screw Channel (ASC) Zirconia Abutments. The ASC abutment allows us to change the angulation of a custom abutment up to 25 degrees. This means that we can change the screw access from a facial access to lingual, giving us the opportunity to attain higher aesthetic results. We should note that the ASC abutment is only available for connical connection implants.

In the case featured here, two implants were placed to replace missing lateral incisors. The implants were placed in a less then optimal position angled facially – a perfect case for the ASC Zirconia Abutments.
